Democrats offer a trade policy that will:

*Ensure that U.S. free trade agreements raise standards of living, create new markets for U.S. goods.
*Stand up for American workers, farmers, and businesses, especially in the hard-hit U.S. manufacturing sector.
*Open major markets to create new opportunities for U.S. workers, farmers, businesses- raise standards at home and abroad.
*Create Strategic Workers Assistance and Training Initiative (SWAT) to promote education, training and portable health and pension benefits.
*Expand America's diplomacy and strengthen America's national security.
